What working here means

This is a technically demanding environment, deliberately. You will work on live substation, protection, studies and connection projects from the start, with your own deliverables and your name on your work. You will not be doing it unsupported: every design here passes through senior review, and the engineers checking your work are the same people teaching you why a decision goes one way and not the other.

Electrical design engineer, high voltage

You will take substations from single line diagram to construction issue across 11 kV to 400 kV, working to NGTS, British Standards and DNO specifications.

We are looking for

  • Substation design experience at 11 kV and above
  • Working knowledge of NGTS, ENA and British Standards
  • The ambition to take designs from concept to construction issue

Substation automation, control and SCADA integration on utility and private wire projects, including IEC 61850 digital substation work.

We are looking for

  • SCADA and substation automation experience
  • Familiarity with IEC 61850 and substation communications
  • Experience integrating protection, control and telemetry

Design and connection work for battery energy storage and smart grid projects: studies, G99 compliance and network design in distribution and private wire environments.

We are looking for

  • Experience with BESS or renewable generation connections
